Admissions - Only through CET


Candidates who qualify in Common Entrance Test (CET) / Aptitude test conducted by Government of Karnataka are eligible to the Under Graduate Engineering / Architecture courses. The selection of candidates to the college is done by counselling at CET centre by the Government. Candidates belonging to Union Territory, Government of India are also admitted to the college by the Central Government. Candidates qualified in the GATE and PGCET are eligible to the Post Graduate courses. Candidates qualified in the test conducted by the Bangalore University are eligible for Research programmes leading to M.Sc in Engineering and Doctoral programmes. Admission to UVCE is strictly on the basis of merit.

Detailed Proceedure

Here we have highlighted only the process for UG courses. More information and updated details will follow shortly

  1. Once the Announcements of the Final Round Seat Allocation is made in the website – and you have selected the seat in UVCE, you need to come down to K R Circle campus.
  2. As per the notification, you will need to pay the CET fees (in the said Banks) and download the Admission Order online in the website within the stipulated time-frame.
  3. Prepare a Demand Draft in any nationalized bank in the favour of "FINANCE OFFICER, BANGALORE UNIVERSITY, BANGALORE" for the prescribed amount (subject to change every year, need to enquire in College Office)
  4. Additional DD amount may be needed for CBSE students to be added with actual amount (to be enquired at College Office)
  5. Submit the DD at the Finance Section(Near Library) located at Bangalore Central University, Central College, K R Circle, Bangalore – 01. You will need to collect the Challan/Acknowledgement from the same office.
  6. Before visiting the UVCE campus for admissions, make sure that you have these Original documents (and two set of Attested Xerox copies) with you:
    1. Receipt Towards College Admission Fee (Challan/Acknowledgement received at Finance Office)
    2. CET Allotment Order issued by KEA
    3. PUC/12th Std Marks Card
    4. Transfer Certificate
    5. Migration Certificate (for CBSE/Outside Karnataka students)
    6. Self Address Postal Cover of Rs.5
    7. Three Stamp-Size and Three Passport-Size photographs
    8. Xerox copies of DD submitted at Finance Office
  7. You will need to have the Xerox copies of the below documents as well (which may be required for your specific category)
    1. SSLC/ 10th Marks Cards
    2. Caste Certificate (if seat allotted under Caste Category)
    3. Income Certificate (for claiming fee concession)
    4. Rural Certificate (if seat allotted under Rural Quota)
    5. Kannada Medium Certificate (if seat allotted under Kannada Medium Quota)
    6. Study/Character/Conduct Certificate issued by Institution last studied
    7. Defence/ex-Defence/NCC/P.H/ Sport Certificate (for Special Category Candidates)
    8. NATA Score Copy (for Architecture Students only)
  8. With the above mentioned documents, please visit the campus. First step would be to collect the "File as per the Department allotted" from the UVCE Co-Operative Society within the campus (UVCE, K R Circle). Please note that Civil & Architecture students are also required to complete their admission process at K R Circle campus only.
  9. You will need to visit the Admission Office (located beside the Principal Room) to collect the Application Form by presenting your Admission Order.
  10. Fill up the Application Form and arrange all the required documents in the above mentioned order (5 & 6) for further processing.
  11. The college authorities will inform you as per the further process for admission once you are ready with the above mentioned duly-filled documents.
