IEEE UVCE is an IEEE student branch in UVCE under the aegis of IEEE Bangalore Section.This branch was revived in 2001. Their objective stands as astute commitment to the cause of furthering the dissemination of knowledge which is reflected by the gamut of activities organized.
The IEEE Student members are provided with opportunities to attend global and national IEEE workshops, symposiums, guest lectures in trending technological fields and existing engineering knowledge, and conferences. IEEE UVCE shelters the various technical interests of students having pioneered a cluster of clubs or interest groups to provide guidance and a nurturing platform to students. To name few of the special interest groups are Varchas (Astronomy), Ncode (Coding), Vidyut(Electrical), Robotics, Ripples, Art Forum and Literary Club. Women in Engineering (WIE) is a wing of IEEE UVCE that was pioneered in correspondence to its Global counterpart to encourage women in the technical domain and to transform them into innovative engineers. Student Teacher and Research Engineer (STAR) Program is a social responsibility intuitive followed at IEEE UVCE which aims at educating and mentoring school students with engineering skill.
SAE is the acronym for “Society of Automotive Engineers” which is a World Wide organization that set standards and validates automatic projects.A student group extending the SAE branch subsists in our College going by the name SAEINDIA UVCE and the motto of this organization stands to explore various realms of the Engineering Society for Advanced Mobility in Land Sea Air and Space. This student division of SAE was started by the earnest eff orts of a group of students from the Mechanical Batch of 2009-2013 with the sole purpose of encouraging young students to reconnoiter the diverse fields of engineering findings.
Some of the main National Level competitions organized in which SAEINDIA UVCE participate in are GKDC (go-cart building championship), BAJA (Pronounced as BAHA, is an all in terrain vehicle building championship), SUPRA (Racing car building championship) inspiring students to take on challenges that are presented with awards and also help bridge job and internship opportunities amongst companies and students. The club till date has involved in conducting many activities to benefit the members for improving their skills in the technical field.
Youth is the backbone of our nation. A small step from the youth can bring a huge diff erence in fulfilling the vision of a clean and green India. Working progressively towards this goal, UVCE has its own student run club, go green and clean club, G2C2 spreading every bit of ecological awareness and making a change in this world.
This student community was started back in 2014 by a bunch of ME CSE department students for a greener and cleaner UVCE. Continuing to spread this enthusiasm are students from 2nd and 3rd year BE. Presently it is a huge group of about 100 voluntary members who are dedicated towards the cause to refurbish and restore the foliage of this heritage institution and our surrounding. Any organization is purposeless without a vision and mission. And the calling of this group stands in incorporating cleanliness and creating awareness among students to keep our premises clean and to improve the college’s aesthetic views with everyone's support
The main intention lies to motivate and encourage students who have an inclination towards Entrepreneurship and equip them to follow their dreams. The ECell, plans to provide Incubation to the Startup ideas, Mentorship, Industry-Academia Interaction for further support. With an goal of producing successful Startups and Ventures from our Premier Institution to the World.
